    • WHO are the Gentiles?
These little Bible stories came about because everywhere one looks, one finds Bible stories for children filled with BIG errors. With God's help we offer you these stories of the Bible with the understanding that Jesus is gathering His people into his Kingdom, placing His truth in their hearts and opening their eyes.

"Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:13.

The Word of God has much to say about the kingdom.  Spend time as a family digging into the rich soil of Scripture and mining the precious truth together. The kingdom is filled with truth about what kind of people we are to be, and how we are to live like Jesus. The kingdom is not a list of rules – the kingdom is a lifestyle that honors God:

Loving God allows us to live in His kingdom according to His example. As we seek to live as Jesus did, we will take on more and more of His likeness so that people will see Jesus living in us. As we read the Living Word of God, and as we apply it to our lives in practical ways, His kingdom will be seen clearly through us.

If this speaks to your heart, then enjoy these stories and pass them on to your favorite Kingdom Kid (kid's in Jesus' Kingdom) - your kids, your grand  kids, your neighbors. It is never too early to get acquainted with Jesus and His Kingship.

I  Wonder
by Mary Lou Becker - 2017
Mikey  and his sister Melody were too young to start school. But they weren't
too young  to wonder about many of the
things around them.

They wondered

                        how the birds knew

                                                        where they lived.

Mikey wondered why his puppy was so happy to

see him every morning. He
wondered who made

him so warm and
soft.

                                                               Melody wondered

                                         where the rain  came from

and she wondered who made the flowers.
After a very hard day of trying to build a little boat, Mikey began to see how hard it was to make things. And that made him wonder even more just who made the things around him.

He asked Melody if she knew. She said, "I think we should ask Mom or Dad."

Mom said, "I think Grandma "B" would like to help you out with your questions."

So Mikey asked Grandma "B" that very day. "We were wondering about some stuff Grandma "B", and Mom said to ask you. Could you tell us who made the earth, stars and moon?"

Grandma "B" said, "Kids, the story of who made the things in this universe, including the earth and every living thing on it, is written down in a special book everyone needs to know about. I think it is time for you to know too."

"It is called the Bible.  It has been written in more languages and been copied more times than any other book in the whole world. In it, you will find out about our Creator God and the wonderful
things He has done for us. Any time you wonder about anything, the answer is likely to be somewhere in this book!"

"He even created you, so He knows all about you. He tells you in His book how to take care of yourself and how to treat others so that you can live a long, healthy, happy life.  It is an instruction book that I read when I wonder about things myself."
Picture
" Now, let's see if the Bible will tell us who created the earth. It is right here on the very first page, I believe."

"Genesis 1:1; In the  beginning  God created  the heavens and the earth."

"Genesis 1:16; God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also."
"So there is your answer kids, God created the earth, the stars, sun and moon!"

Mikey and Melody quickly began asking questions, both at the same time. "Did God make the trees and flowers and rain? Did God make the animals?  Did He make man too?"

"Hold on!" Grandma B smiled. "Let's take this a little at a time!"

"Learning about God is something people do all of their lives. You have a great adventure
ahead of you.  He reveals Himself to ALL OF US through
this very book, the Bible. The more you
wonder and read, the more you will get to know Him and His great love for you. This wondering you feel inside your mind is often God's way to let you know He wants to show you something about Himself.  Don't ignore it, check it out in the Bible."

"Now, I wonder what we can find out about the trees and flowers." Grandma said as she turned to Genesis 1:11;  And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed,  and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose  seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so."

"So God made the trees and flowers
(because flowers yield seeds)." Grandma "B" explained.

Mikey said, "Let's check out the animals."

Grandma looked up  Genesis 1:24; "And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so."

"Yeah!  God made the animals." Mikey shouted!

"What about the rain, I wonder?" Melody pondered.

Grandma "B" turned a couple of pages and read Genesis 3:4; "... and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights..."

"So God even controls the weather, Wow!" exclaimed Melody.

Grandma "B" hugged her and smiled sweetly. "Your final question, 'Did God create man?' can be answered in this same first book of the Bible, Genesis. In chapter 5:1; This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;"

"God had Adam's family history recorded in the Bible for all to see. No other family line is so well preserved. This was for a very special purpose which we will talk about another time if you like."

Mikey got all excited. "I want to know more about God!"

"Me too!" Melody chimed in.

"Great! Remember I told you that the Bible was an instruction book to help you live long and be happy? God loves us very much and He wants us to get to know Him and love Him back.  Memorizing some of His special words can help us to do just that."

"Loving God back allows us to live in His kingdom like He wants us to. As we try to live as Jesus did, we will become more like Him. We are His "Kingdom Kids". As we read the Bible and do what it tells us, this "living like Jesus" attitude will be seen by others ."

These Bible verses we will be memorizing are like little gold nuggets. They are priceless treasures that you can count on to help you "live like Jesus".

"A good verse to start with is Psalms 119:11; I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." They looked the verse up in Grandma "B"'s Bible, then she said, " Do you know how to hide God's word in your heart?"

Mikey replied, "I'm not sure."

"Just repeat the verse many times and it will get stuck in your brain so you can remember it any time you want to." Grandma advised, "Start out with just the chapter and verse; Psalms 119:11, say that over and over again until it is easy, then add a few more words. Keep repeating and adding until you get the whole verse.  This will be the first verse that you have hidden in your heart, just like it says in
Psalms 119:11."

Grandma "B" asked  "Do you understand what that last part of the verse means, "That I might not sin against you?"

"Um, not really" Melody confessed.

"Sin means to do something wrong, to break God's law (which you will learn about as you  study God's Word). Just like this Scripture verse tells us, it is good to memorize God's Word. Memorizing at least one Scripture verse a week is a good habit to get into. You can lock them in your heart forever. This will help you get to know God and show Him you love Him."

"But I can't read so good yet, Grandma!" Melody pouted.

"No problem, your Mom,  Dad and I will  help you. Just repeat the verse over and over again until you cannot forget it. Would you like to come back next week and show me how well you memorized it?"

They both nodded their heads and shouted, "Yes!" in agreement.

"Good! I will see you next week. Perhaps you will have other things you wonder about that we can discuss. Plus, I will have a little surprise for you. I will call your Mom and Dad and tell them of the verse you are memorizing so they can help.  They will probably enjoy learning these verses along with you. We could even make up games to help you memorize the verses. Remember, repeat the verse several times a day."

"We will Grandma! It's fun!" They promised excitedly.

"You go talk to your Mom and Dad about the good things we discovered today, and remember, IT IS A GREAT THING TO WONDER! "
