   BY THE WAY...

The word ABOMINABLE
(#6292) is translated from the Hebrew word sounding like pigul. This word means to stink, be unclean. Is it possible

to Ponder
Discuss these questions with
 your parents.
The next to the last Scripture verse indicates the Lord "stirred up" an adversary unto Solomon.
  • What does this mean?
  • Does God stir up adversaries for people today?
  • What adversaries have you had to deal with lately?

The Hebrew word for adjure (shaba) means to "seven oneself". To swear as if by repeating a declaration seven times. There is a lot of history in our words. See if you can locate more information on "seven oneself". What does God say to us about making oaths? (See James 5:12)
